The Jules Dress
Introducing: Jules
Please welcome the Jules Dress! The name “Jules” means youthful and soft which is exactly what the Jules dress represents. To me being youthful is about being uninhibited and spritely. The softness speaks to the gentle, flowy nature of the dress.
It’s a simple dress that can meet any number of needs! It’s practical with its shoulder-covering sleeves; deep pockets and oversized bust & waist.
Perfect for so many people from teachers to mums to social workers and those stuck in offices to a group picnicking in the woods!
Design Elements
When I designed Jules, I knew I wanted to design a dress that fit ALL BODIES. I wanted a dress that could cater for large busts and small hips; small busts and large hips; peach-shaped or apple-shaped or pear-shaped bodies; wide arms or small arms; tall, medium or short bodies; bodies that can walk and bodies in wheelchairs and any in between!
I didn’t want anyone to feel restricted by their dress with a tight bodice or tight armholes or to feel like their dress is just too short (or too long!). I wanted to ensure people could put the Jules dress on and feel like they could start flying because of how beautifully floaty it is!
How many times have you seen a dress you loved but couldn’t fit your biceps in because the sleeves were too tight? Or seen gorgeous dresses only to find out that they don’t have pockets?! What about the ones that are too low-cut in the bodice or too tight to fit over ALL the boobs!? The Jules dress is your answer!
What's in a Dress?
Scraptastic fabric! The Jules dress is super awesome for a billion reasons but one of my personal favourites is that it can be made of scraps of fabric!
One tier, two tiers or three tiers. Mismatched tiers. Patch pockets or hidden pockets. Lots of colours and patterns or just one or two. The options with Jules are endless! When you put the Jules dress on, you’ll want to do a twirl. Chuck your hands in the deep pockets and spin around and around! The floaty-ness feels like flying!
Perfect for transeasonal wear, hard-wearing and long-lasting. You can wear Jules in the sun too, because it will cover your shoulders perfectly well keeping you safe from the sun.
Style on the Go
Pair it with boots, sandals or slip-on flats; stay warm with a woolly vest or woolly jacket; hair up or hair down; matching scrunchie or contrasting vest.
Jules can be worn in most weather and is perfectly suited for the hotter weather! Jules loves being layered or being the star of the show; there’s no rules!
Okay, maybe there is ONE rule… Have fun! It won’t be hard to do as Jules is SERIOUS fun!
